This is so much more than a guide-book (of which it is the most comprehensive, available. It is the book of the Gallipoli Peninsula. It charts in fascinating detail what happened at every recommended stop and brings alive, with cameos and anecdotes, the people who fought there: leaders, heroes, historic regiments, poets, 'Tommy', 'Digger' and 'Johnnie Turk'.
There are 272 pages, 190 pictures, & a double sided pull-out coloured map, used by most uk guides.
We wrote our first small guide-books to the battlefields almost 40 years ago and since then have enlarged and updated them regularly. We do all of the research ourselves and take all of the photos on the ground.
Our aim is to make everything easy to find and easy to understand. There are many maps and photographs to help recognition and most books have GPS.
Have a good trip.
